Gary started to play the drums at the age of eleven at his local church, in Hadleigh, Essex. Two weeks later he played in North London in front of five hundred people. From that moment on he new exactly what he wanted to do – be a drummer!
During the last fifty years he has played in a wide variety of musical styles and situations, which have included gospel music, big band, rock, jazz, dance music, cabaret, military, orchestral and R & B.
Since moving to Shropshire in 1988 he has continued to play professionally and is in demand as a drum teacher at schools and colleges.
